The First Continental Congress
By: Edgar .& Taylor

The British would do anything for people to follow the British laws. The very first meeting was in September 1774 in Philadelphia’s carpenter’s hall. Later it was called the first Continental Congress. Some hate Britan some want to make peace with Britan so the congress made the statement of rights. The congress set May 10, 1775 as a deadline for parliament to respond to the pentition. Patrick Henry said GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH! The 55 delegates at congress represented the wide range of thought in colonies. Some people wanted to break away from Britain.
