Francisco Pizarro

Pizarro conqueror of the Inca Empire of Peru.(http://go.grolier.com/) He was born about  1476 in Trujillo Spain. He sailed for the recently dicovered America. In 1513 he served with Vasco Balboa and were first to cross the narrow strip of land in Central America known as Panama and the Pacific Ocean.He settled in Panama and heard of a wealthy land to south-- peru.He partnered up with Diego de Almagro and Hernando de Luque to try to find Tumbres.They failed ,but then set off again in 1526. Finally, he reached Tumbres.  With his evidence of wealth of the Incas Pizarro recived a mission to conquer Peru.

                      Pizarro and 180 men, fue cannons, and some horses was sent to Peru . The Incas were weakened by the civil war. When he got to Cajamarca he captured Atahualpa and took him prisoner and demanded a fine . After it was paid Pizarro wanted him to be killed and was. In 1533 he entered Cuzco completing his task. In 1535 he found the capital of Peru then known as the city of Lima.Almaro felt cheated so with his army he marched agenced Pizarro in 1538 .Almagro was kilkled from the battle. His followers gained revenge and killed Pizarro in Lima at his Palace in June 26,1541.
