Hernando Cortez was a noble to Spain. He set out in 1504. He landed in Cuba and in 1511 he was picked to go and conquer the Aztecs. From there he set out to conquer the Aztecs and take there gold from them. Cortez sunk all ten ships and told his crew never to return to Spain. They set out with 650 men and 16 horses!  They scared they Aztecs to the point were they thought that the spaniels were gods set out to punish them. The Aztecs gave them food and untold riches. Finally the Aztecs discover that they were not gods they were fakes so they went into war. The Aztecs were so mad that they executed Montezuma there leader. Thus the Aztec empire was conquered by Hernando Cortez the mighty Spaniard!!!
